Raska Mahal Club of Medinipur, 'SANAT TARAS CLUB' of Kantadih in the district of
purulia has come forward to help S K Mission (at Valdungri, purulia) noticing
the advertisement of S K Mission, published in the web page of ABOWAG KATHA a
daily santali news on 6th May Thursday.
At least 10 active members of the club went to
the mission on 7th may Tuesday with 50kg rice, fried rice, biscuits, potatoes,
sanitizer and others essential commodities. Club members donated the essentials
with Rs 2000 for the infants of the mission on the hands of Mr Naren Hansda,
the founder of S K Mission, maintaining social distance. Receiving the
commodities Mr Hansda congratulated all the club members for standing by the
mission in lock down restrictions.
Club members spent
some valuable time discussing about the progress of Mission with Mr Hansda, said
the secretary of the club Mr Buddheswar Baskey. Since the lock down the club
has been serving the people who don't have the resources to buy basic
necessities and those who have not had adequate help from the govt public
system.
The club has also been
able to deliver around 300 needy families in lock down. The main mission of the
club is to help the poor people who are not getting sufficient food. The club
would continue relief efforts till the end of lock down, said a senior member of
the club. He also added that The club has been serving continuously the people
of the areas as well as the people of outside , arranging blood donation camp,
free coaching camp for students , clothes/books distribution camp
etc .
Since last
25 years. The club has found a lot of supports from the outsiders because
of its noble jobs for the common people.
Mr Baskey the club secretary also
reported that Silver jubilee ceremony of the club has been scheduled for the
month of October this year i,e 2020 and the importance on culture and
literature will be given more in the ceremony .
